My hobby is learning and working with computers. My preference is Windows on PCs. My first PC was a Tandy 2000, using some version of DirtyOS. Although I could barely reach the keyboard, it fascinated me. I thoroughly enjoy challenging problems, and devising solutions to fit. Very complex the challenges draw the most interest.Through various computers, and schools, I soon began to program. Although I preferred programming, a very bad experience with a "computer science" teacher convinced me to pursue a different education. Electronics Engineering became my new preference in education. A course introduced me to LabVIEW. I initially didn't like this new way to program, but quickly changed my mind after completing a co-op term at Enable Training and Consulting. I now enjoy building LabVIEW programs, and working on various projects.
I have always lived next to a very active international airport and railway, and therefore have a fascination with trains and aircraft. One of my aspirations is to earn a Private Pilot Permit, allowing me to fly small airplanes with passengers, and potentially earning more advanced permits to fly other aircraft.
