I am currently studying Mechatronics Engineering at the University of Waterloo. I have just completed my first study term, and am now starting my first co-op term here at Enable Training and Consulting. I’m pretty excited for the four months, and it seems as though we’ll be getting some real responsibilities here, which is much welcomed from a guy who served fish at a grocery store for 3 years. The fact that I won’t have to be up until 2 or 3 in the morning every night, frantically trying to get assignments done is also another aspect that I’m looking forward to. I dabbled in robotics in high school, and got further into to it in our first term final design project with our line-following Arduino bots. The vast majority of my programming experience lies with C++, with some PBASIC (a branch off of VisualBasic made specifically for Parallax microcontrollers), and I’m looking forward to learning what LabVIEW is all about. As far as sports and hobbies go, I played hockey for 12 years and baseball for 13, so not playing any sports is kind of weird for me right now. Also, I play guitar and drums, and I play as often as I get the chance to, but ever since I started university my free time has taken a drastic hit…
